KIWIE 2024 provides opportunities of exhibiting and promoting your inventions as well being awarded in and International Competition by evaluating your patent technologies and inventions.

KIWIE 2024 Korea International Women's Invention Exposition 2024

For those who wish to participate the Exposition in-person,
Onsite screening will be conducted
For those excused from attending onsite due to personal issue, Non-face-to-face screening will be conduncted
Eligibility Women who have applied or registered
for domestic or overseas industrial property rights are eligible to participate in KIWIE
Participation Fee $300
  • * Maximum 3 inventions in 1 booth
    (3m X 3m)
    Additional booth charge will be $100 per qty (Remittance charge is NOT included in the entry fee)

Required Materials Schedule

Invention video with script

  • The video playtime should be no more than 2 minutes in length (official language is English)
  • The video script should be submitted
    Send your invention video at gokiwie@gmail.com
    If you fail to attach the video on email, you can upload it to Youtube and share us the link.
  • The above materials will be posted on online exhibition on the KIWIE's website for promotional purposes.
    If you do not want to exhibit online, please let know the organizer in advance.

Invention Shipping

  • Those who would like to send the inventions to Korea must notify the organizer in advance.
  • The invention submitted will not be returned to participants.
  • Shipping costs are the participants responsibility.

Korea International Women's Invention Exposition 2024 Participation Rules

Article 1. Definition of terms

  • ① Organizer: Korea Women Inventors Association
  • ② KIWIE is the acronym for the Korea International Women's Invention Exposition
  • ③ Participant: The term 'participant' includes all individuals, organizations, agents of any individual company who have applied and paid for the purpose of participating in Korea International Women's Invention Exposition
  • ④ Woman's Invention: Invention must be applied or registered of domestic or overseas industrial property rights by woman.

Article 2. Entry fee

  • ① Entry fees are as follows.

  • Proxy participation fee is different from the above.

Article 3. Eligibility Screening & Payment

  • ① The submitted entry form and attachments will be screened to confirm the qualifications.
  • ② Registration Number for each invention will be given along with the invoice.
  • ③ If the payment of the entry fee is not completed within the deadline, the application will be canceled.

Article 4. Cancellation

  • In case of cancellation, the participants must submit a request to the organizer for approval by written notice. The following cancellation fee is charged.
  • * Full Refund within 30 days
  • * Refund of 50 percent within 15 ~ 29 days
  • * No Refund within 15 days

Article 5. Rules and Regulations pertaining to onsite

  • ① Each invention has to be described in the entry form and those not duly indicated on the entry forms are strictly prohibited.
  • ② Exhibits deemed hazardous or that would cause public inconveniences are strictly prohibited by the organizer.
  • ③ Inventions may be presented in the form of ready-made articles, prototype, models, plans, drawings, photos and texts.
  • ④ If exhibitors withdraw their inventions or products before the closing hour, an award should be spontaneously cancelled and they are responsible for infliction of a loss on the damage.
  • ⑤ The organizer will pay attention to the safety of exhibitions, but the exhibitor shall be responsible for the maintenance and management of inventions exhibited.
  • ⑥ An exhibitor shall be responsible for insuring the exhibits against theft, breakage, unexpected fire, accident and exhibitor’s carelessness and the exhibitor is able to hold the insurance for safety and protection for each invention.
  • ⑦ Booth assignment: The location is assigned by the organizer. Participant may make requests, but the organizer ultimately creates the floor plan.

Article 6. Proxy Participation

  • ① ‘Proxy Participation’ refers to the process that those willing to participate submit inventions in advance to the an organizer(KWIA), and then the KWIA exhibits and manages them by proxy during the exposition.
  • ② In any of the following cases, the evaluation may be taken based on the entry form and other attachments such as photos or the invention presentation video only.
  • a) If an invention has no physical form.
  • b) If it is unlikely to ship an invention by air due to its size and/or weight or its risk of breakage.

Article 7. Invention Shipping

  • ① Those who would like to send the inventions to Korea must notify the organizer in advance.
  • ② The invention submitted will not be returned to participant.
  • ③ Shipping costs are the participants responsibility.
  • ④ The organizer accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft, damage, etc. caused during shipping.
  • ⑤ Participants must check in advance the rules and regulations on shipping and delivery (i.e. max weights and sizes, taxes, etc.) and no responsibility for the failure of shipping and delivery is on the organizer.
  • ⑥ Types of Delivery Service: Global express delivery service such as DHL, FedEx, and etc.
